Givers and Not Getters

a chain of events which leads to the disintegration of the personality and ultimately to the hospital. The percentage of the population who will spend some part of their lives in a mental hospital is increasing, and 3 large proportion of these people are elderly. Senile dementia, it is thought* is accelerated by loneliness. A harsh winter makes already existing problems more imminent. Death among the elderly goes unnoticed days, and their loneliness is aggravated by extreme cold, lack of sufficient food, and suitable clothing. Existing con1* munications with people become disrupted, doctors remain uncontacted, coal is not delivered, and misery accumulates.
